Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 28, 2026

QuickPronounce respects your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have.

Information We Collect

QuickPronounce does not require an account or login. We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal information unless you voluntarily send it to us via email.

We use browser localStorage to store your preferences (dark mode, search history, favorites, quiz data). This data stays on your device and is never sent to our servers.

Third-Party Services

QuickPronounce fetches dictionary data from Merriam-Webster Learner's Dictionary API and dictionaryapi.dev. Your searches pass through our serverless API routes, but we do not log or store individual search queries.

We use Vercel for hosting. Vercel may collect standard server logs (IP address, request timestamps, page URLs) for operational purposes. These logs are retained temporarily and are not used for tracking individuals.

Cookies

QuickPronounce does not set its own tracking cookies. We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party analytics service. Vercel's infrastructure may set functional cookies required for CDN and routing.

Data Retention

localStorage data (preferences, cache) remains on your device until you clear your browser data. Server logs on Vercel are retained according to their standard data retention policy.

Your Rights

You can clear all QuickPronounce data at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage and cache. If you have questions about your data, email us at hello@quickpronounce.site.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, the "Last updated" date at the top will change. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
